February’s unpredictable weather, a blend of storms and sunshine, fueled our garden’s growth including our amazing jasmine. We welcomed another diverse array of guests, all leaving 5-star reviews, and some even departing as cherished friends. It was a delightful surprise to host guests who discovered us through our television appearances! The strong interest from Portuguese visitors has also been a wonderful opportunity to practice our evolving language skills.
Before Steve had to make an unexpected trip the Uk, he managed to cut down a lot of trees that had been blown over in the winter months – our guests are definitely not going to run out of logs for the wood burners in the foreseeable future! Whilst he was away I held down the fort at Chumbaria with the dogs. We managed well, despite Stanley’s renewed penchant for destruction, which included demolishing a beautiful birthday basket made by our daughter!
Filming for season 4 of Channel 4’s ‘Help! We Bought a Village’ continued, and we launched a new Facebook group, “Friends of Help We Bought a Village,” for fans to follow our journey. The group has quickly gained over 500 members, creating an engaging space for interaction and shared experiences.
