We had a fantastic three days building our new hen house. They seem happy and are busy turning waste from the kitchen and garden into eggs and compost. 
We sourced the timber from a local family run sawmill – Martos. They also kindly supplied all the pallet wood that clads the house for free! The roof tiles, also known as shingles, but properly called shakes were all hand cut with a hand axe!
The chicken run will extend as soon as the lurchers realise they are not dinner…
